From First Appointment To Better Sleep

Step One

Consultation

Your first appointment is a comprehensive 45-minute assessment. We discuss your symptoms, concerns and medical history, assess your oral health and if a sleep study hasn't yet been done - arrange one from the comfort of your home. There is no pressure to proceed. This is your opportunity to understand your options.

A dental scan of your teeth can also be done in this appointment if you would like to go ahead with treatment.

Step Two

Home Sleep Study

If you haven't yet been diagnosed, a home-based diagnostic sleep study can be arranged through SleepWise. Conducted in your own bed, it is analysed by a specialist sleep physician who will diagnose the presence and severity of any sleep apnoea and make treatment recommendations. Results are typically available within one week.

Your progress is monitored throughout the first 12 months with structured follow-up reviews - all included as part of your treatment. We adjust the appliance as needed, confirm it is working effectively and keep your GP, dentist or medical specialist informed at each key stage.

Annual reviews are highly recommended to keep your treatment on track - assessing your fit, monitoring jaw health and optimising your results over time. A fee applies for these appointments, separate from your first-year inclusions.

How It Works -
Before Your First Appointment

  • Not sure which to choose? If you are ready to see a clinician and get started, book a consultation. If you have questions first or would like to talk through your options before committing, our treatment coordinators are here to help - no referral needed, no obligation. Both can be booked online in minutes via our Book An Appointment page or by submitting an online form. If you prefer, you can also give us a call 1300 101 505 and our friendly front desk staff will be able to help you.

  • If you have already had a sleep study or have been referred by your GP, ENT or sleep physician, please bring those results along or have them sent to us ahead of your appointment. Don't worry if you have nothing. We can arrange everything from scratch, including a home sleep study if needed. Coming prepared simply helps us make the most of your time in the chair.

  • Once your appointment is booked, you will receive a confirmation from our team along with a brief questionnaire about your sleep concerns, symptoms and medical history. Completing this ahead of time means your clinician arrives at your appointment already familiar with your situation - so you spend less time on paperwork and more time getting answers.

  • We have three clinic locations across Melbourne and Geelong - Melbourne CBD, Hawthorn East and Geelong West. Whichever you visit, you will be welcomed by our friendly team and seen on time. If you have any questions before you arrive - about parking, accessibility or what to bring - just give us a call. We are happy to help.
